Course Aims/Purpose
This course aims to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful career in filmmaking. It introduces foundational principles in film production, including storytelling, cinematography, and editing. Participants will gain practical experience and theoretical insights into Namibia professional and dynamic film industry. The course addresses the immediate needs of the film industry, ensuring that participants are prepared to contribute effectively to various aspects of film production, whether through hands-on experience or theoretical understanding.
Specific Learning Outcomes
On completing the course, participants should be able to:
- Apply filmmaking fundamentals to a live production environment, including key aspects of storytelling, cinematography, and editing.
- Demonstrate filmmaking basics in both theoretical and practical aspects of filmmaking, covering essential concepts and techniques used in film production.
- Demonstrate an understanding of production roles on a film set and how these roles interact and contribute to the overall production process.
