Biography
Prof Attlee Munyaradzi Gamundani (AMG) is an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity in the Department of Cyber Security, Faculty of Computing and Informatics, at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), and the founding lead of the Artificial Intelligence of Things for ICT for Development Research Cluster, an interdisciplinary platform advancing secure, ethical and context-responsive digital innovation in Africa. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from NUST, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Zimbabwe, and a Bachelor of Science Honours in Information Systems from Midlands State University. He previously served as an ICT for Development Research Fellow at the United Nations University Institute in Macau, where his work focused on participatory artificial intelligence governance and ethics. His research integrates cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and ICT for Development to address challenges in digital health, smart-water systems, agriculture, cyber-physical infrastructure, digital governance and inclusive digital transformation. He teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervises Honours, master’s and doctoral research. Prof Gamundani is a Senior Member of the IEEE, an ACM Professional Member, a Non-Executive Director of the Pan African Information Communication Technology Association, an Advisory Board Member of GenuineIn and a co-founder of the Namibia National Cyber Security Competition. He has contributed to national, continental and international initiatives focused on cyber-capacity development, responsible artificial intelligence and digital inclusion.

- Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Responsible Innovation — machine learning and deep learning for threat and anomaly detection, responsible AI, and intelligent applications in healthcare, water management, agriculture and public safety.
- Secure Internet of Things, Smart Infrastructure and Inclusive Digital Transformation — lightweight IoT authentication, smart homes and cities, cyber-physical systems, human-centred computing, digital inclusion and technology-enhanced education.
